FAQs

We look forward to getting to sweat and breathe with you! If you have any questions at all, please reach out to info@recycle-maine.com, or DM us on Instagram (@recyclemaine). Otherwise, check out some of our frequently asked Qs below…

What should I bring to a ride class?

All you need is some comfortable workout clothes, a water bottle and your shoes of choice. We will provide the rest. Our bikes are able to accommodate sneakers and SPD cleats. We also have 3 bikes that are Look Delta (Peloton) compatible, but we recommend bringing back-up sneakers in case those bikes are not available when you arrive.

What should I bring to a mat class?

All you need is some comfortable workout clothes and a water bottle. We will provide the rest. If you want to bring your own yoga mat/blanket, or anything else that will make you comfortable, you are more than welcome to.

What should I expect?

You should expect to sweat, and work hard, but each class you take is yours…so how hard you work is completely up to you. We keep our studio at a comfortable, but not cold, temp.

We also recommend taking a look at the class descriptions, as some of our classes are a bit varied from traditional spinning classes.

What if this is my first time riding?

First, we are so excited you will be joining us! We ensure that each one of our classmates has a safe and amazing time…if this is your first time spinning, please let your instructor know so they can get you properly setup…and be sure to share any injuries/conditions/recoveries that we should know about to ensure your safest ride.

What if I have an injury/illness?

Talk to your doctor first, and once cleared to spin come join us!

What if I am pregnant or postpartum?

Talk to your doctor first, and once cleared to spin come join us!

Do I need to book a bike?

We require bikes to be booked online ahead of time. It allows us to ensure we can make your time in the studio as optimal as possible.

Do you have a waitlist?

Yes we do! We allow up to two peeps to waitlist any of our classes. If a spot opens up you will get a text/e-mail letting you know you’re in!

What to do when I arrive?

When you get here, check-in, get your shoes on, fill up your water bottle and mingle with friends (new and old). We ask you to arrive at least 5 minutes before class to ensure you can get ready and setup before the class begins. If you need to arrive late, ring the doorbell when you get here (our doors lock when class starts for the safety or our instructors and participants). If you are new to spinning or have any new considerations flag down your instructor so they can help get you safely setup.

I can’t make class – now what?

We get it – you booked a class and life came up. We try to be as flexible as possible when you need to cancel. We require cancellation 12 hours ahead of class, otherwise the class will be deducted from your purchased class/package.
